“American Idol ”Reveals Contestants Brooks Rosser and Rae Boyd Are Dating During Disney Night

Brooks Rosser and Rae Boyd confirmed their romance on American Idol

The season 24 contestants revealed their relationship during the Disney Night episode on Monday, April 20

Rosser performed a cover of "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus

Romance is in the air for two American Idol contestants!

During the Monday, April 20 episode of the singing competition series, Rae Boyd — who was eliminated from the show on April 13 — hard-launched her relationship with current contestant Brooks Rosser.

After Rosser, 22, performed a cover of Miley Cyrus's 2009 hit "The Climb," he received approval for his rendition; however, Luke Bryan said the track "got away" from him a bit.

Ryan Seacrest then told fans how they could vote for Rosser and teased a surprise.

"Brooks, one of the great things about this show is the people you meet, the relationships you form, the special, magical moments that happen. Did you connect with anybody? ʼCause I hear you're a real Prince Charming," said the host, 51.

Rosser seemed to know what Seacrest was trying to get at. "Oh, God," he said.

That's when Seacrest asked him if there's "anything you want to share with us?"

"I have to say it?" asked Rosser.

He didn't, but Seacrest then said, "Former finalist Rae, one of the biggest fans of Brooks, has come back."

Boyd, 24, then ran on stage to hug Rosser.

"Is there something you want to tell us, Rae?" Seacrest asked, to which she playfully replied, "The princess is here to claim her prince."

On April 12, Rosser and Boyd shared an Instagram Reel of them performing a sweet cover of A Great Big World's hit "Say Something."

On April 13, Boyd was eliminated from American Idol. But Rosser remains in the competition alongside Braden Rumfelt, Daniel Stallworth, Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, Chris Tungseth, and Hannah Harper. Contestants Kyndal Inskeep and Lucas Leon were eliminated.

Season 24 of American Idol kicked off in January with a superstar lineup at the judges' table: Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie.

This season, the show has been leaning into its “Idol University” theme, “enrolling the next generation of icons.”

American Idol also announced another theme night for next week where the remaining contestants will perform songs by Taylor Swift.

The series airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
