Aubrey Plaza stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday and asked the host to deliver her baby.

The Parks and Recreation star is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Christopher Abbott.

Plaza is reportedly due in the fall.

Aubrey Plaza has a very specific birth plan.

The pregnant actress stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday to promote her new animated series, Kevin, but there was a more significant reason for her visit: the delivery of her baby.

“I’m gonna need you to pull it out,” the expectant mother informed Meyers. “That’s why I came here tonight.”

“Oh, I would rather not do that,” he admitted.

“It’s either you or Henry Winkler,” replied Plaza, who’s due in the fall. “Those are my top two.”

Meyers suggested Winkler would be a better option, and she didn’t disagree. “Well, he delivered my baby on Parks and Rec, so that’s all I know.”

Indeed, Plaza’s character on the NBC comedy, April Ludgate, gave birth to her first child on the series finale in 2015, assisted by pediatrician Dr. Lu Saperstein, played by the Happy Days alum. While that baby was with her onscreen husband Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt), Plaza’s offscreen boyfriend Christopher Abbott is the father of her real-life child.

It turns out Meyers does know a thing about delivering babies.

In 2018, his wife Alexi Ashe suddenly went into labor with their second child at their New York apartment. Meyers called for an Uber, but they only made it as far as their building’s lobby.

“My wife just says, ‘I can’t get in the car. I’m going to have the baby right now. The baby is coming,’” Meyers recalled on Late Night the following day. As he and their doula tried to convince Ashe they had time to make it to the hospital, “My wife is saying, ‘The baby is coming… The baby is out!’”

The doula checked, and sure enough the baby’s head was out. As they got Ashe comfortable on the lobby floor, Meyers summoned help.

“This is how fast it happened,” he recounted. “I called 9-1-1 and over the course of a minute conversation, I basically said, ‘We’re about to have a baby. We’re having a baby. We had a baby.’”

The newborn boy, Axel Strahl, joined big brother Ashe Olsen — and in 2021, Meyers and his wife became parents of three with the birth of daughter Adelaide Ruth.

As for Plaza, she’s “excited” about her own adventures in childbirth.

“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know,” she recently told Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett on the SmartLess podcast. “It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”

“I just think that you’re such a great person and I love you so much,” Arnett gushed to Plaza. “I’m really happy for you.”
