Brenda Song is offering a glimpse into life at home with Macaulay Culkin — and some of their playful disagreements.
In the April 22 episode of Cosmo Goes Deep, Song sat down with her Running Point costar Kate Hudson for a candid conversation that included a round of personal questions. When Hudson asked, “What’s the pettiest thing you and your partner fight over?” Song, 38, said her relationship debates with Culkin, 45 — with whom she shares sons Dakota, 5, and Carson, 3 — tend to center around something a bit more competitive.
“One thing that we can argue about is we do play Mario Kart sometimes, like in bed. And then we get very, very competitive and we will like get like mildly mad at each other, for like cutting me off or like winning, beating me last minute. That’s probably the pettiest thing,” Song said.

Song has been open about her relationship with Culkin in the past. The couple, who began dating in 2017 after meeting at their mutual friend Seth Green's home and got engaged in 2022, weren’t actively seeking romance when they first got together — something she has said made their connection even stronger.
In an earlier interview with Access Hollywood, Song reflected on how their relationship came together unexpectedly.

“I think that’s what was so beautiful. I always say he’s like my unicorn. I wasn’t going to settle for anything, but he is exactly what I was hoping to look for,” she said at the time.

Song has also described Culkin as more than just a partner, calling him her closest confidant.
“He understands my work, we can talk about football, we talk about basketball, we can cook together. I think I just really lucked out,” she added.
In a joint interview with Cosmopolitan in 2025, Culkin said of their relationship, "I’d never felt this way before. I believed in her. I mean, I believed in people before, but I believed in her down to my bone marrow. You know what I mean? I put it behind the armor though, behind that shield.”
